Oops! The dating profile wasn't up to "par"...

March 30 Updated dating profile (we are still living together):

Wookin4Duv
"You never know... lightning could strike".
I wonder what my friends would say about me. I’ll have to ask them someday. They would say that I like to laugh at just about anything, including myself. They would say that I am great friend, a “nice guy”, and that I am a straight shooter; maybe even too blunt sometimes. Don’t worry, I won’t tell you that _____ makes your ______ look _____. Every woman asks that question of their significant other eventually. It’s a catch 22 and either way us guys know that if we answer you the wrong way that we won’t be getting _____ . Get your head out of the gutter; I was thinking of something far more innocent like “to watch Sports Center” or “making it to our reservation on time”. Oops, that’s a lot for one little blank.
I can be pretty goofy and fairly outgoing but I consider myself kind of shy. Trying on random hats or funny sunglasses at Wal-Mart can be good fun once you get over the risk of ending up on People of Wal-Mart. I enjoy friendly banter and will give a hip-check to the person next to me if I am in a goofy mood. Rough housing with my kids is the best. I will say hello to random strangers in the grocery store if they are close and make eye contact. I guess that’s my inner sales person coming to the surface.
I have had a wide variety of jobs including everything from retail to owning my own business. Not too long ago I decided to return to college and study accounting. It seems that I have a natural talent for it. I am working towards becoming a CPA. That’s a few years off though. If this puts you off then thanks for reading thus far, have a great life.
If you’re still here, thank you for recognizing that money isn’t the X-factor that makes a relationship work. Money certainly makes things easier and I do appreciate nice cars, gadgets, going out to dinner, and so on. My bank owns my home, not my landlord. Eventually, the bank will be handing the deed over to me.
Still reading, good. Maybe we can send a few emails back and forth and possibly arrange to meet over a cup of coffee (nectar of the gods). Maybe once we meet we will share that X-factor that will urge us forward. I could say I want to meet someone who fits x description. But I won’t. I am a guy after all and it usually takes a woman to tell us what’s good for us. (I am not looking to date my mom, but if you are a mom that’s ok). In all seriousness I’d like to trade a few emails with you. These intros are just that, an intro. Now it’s time to send me a wink or an email. Ask me about my day and I’ll ask you about yours.
for fun: In my free time I like to take in a movie and relax. Lately I have been catching up on Dexter via Netflix. My schedule is in flux at the moment and I hope to be able to enjoy more time with good friends.
my job: A few years back I took a job working nights to keep my daughter out of day care. Sure it was a weird schedule to get used and I made quite a few sacrifices but the relationship I have with my daughter now made those sacrifices worth while.
my ethnicity: Once upon a time my granddad showed me a drawing of our family crest; from Scotland I think. On my other side I have some Czech.
my religion: I believe in science. No I'm not a believer Scientology. I also believe that there are forces on the planet that we don't understand and that our current knowledge of science can't explain them yet.
favorite hot spots: Anywhere with sand, water, and waves! Tropical is great but it's all about the ocean for me. I used to live in Northern California and loved the combination of the beach, fog, and the Redwood forest.
favorite things: Most of the music played on KUPD, Dexter, anything Sci-Fi, watching movies, cool gadgets, a good beer or glass of wine. Most of all seeing the great big smiles of my kids when I haven't seen them for a day or two.
last read: The last thing I read was a basic business textbook; it's interesting, when it doesn't put me to sleep. For leisure I have been reading a book series called the Dresden Files. my pets:I have a pit mix I adopted from the pound 9 years ago. His name is Goliath. He is great with my kids. His level of patience with them is amazing.
